Yoga for strength – not only physically but also emotionally!
If you have been practicing yoga for a while and you feel that you are ready kick it up, this quick practice is for you. When we feel strong, we are the most powerful. Sometimes the best way to get into an energetic quality of strength is to access the physical power within us. Let’s rock out to our expansiveness and shine with our strength in a little over seven minutes.
THREE STEPS TO FEEL STRONG
Stand tall like a Superhero — After creating energy within, channel that spark in stillness. Standing tall in mountain pose may work for you or maybe you take a different approach. Tuning into your inner Superhero like Amelia on Grey Anatomy before she goes into a big brain surgery. She references a study that shows standing in this way actually increases performance for those who hold the posture for a few minutes before and important task like a presentation or maybe brain surgery? hehe
Believe in yourself — Trust in your path, you are as strong as you feel. Allow yourself to access your wondrous and expansive qualities. If that little voice in your head takes over with negativity, give your inner guide more power. Stay steady with your strength and grounded into the moment. Pause fear and play LOVE! You are so incredibly strong inside and out, you are a wellness warrior.
